Last weekend we were out and about with Millburn Academy for their bronze practice expedition. The forecast for the weekend wasn’t great, with heavy rain due on Saturday. We were very lucky to escape the worst of the weather, experiencing a dry night at the campsite.
The groups had some further navigation training with their instructors, and then planned routes to finish at Feshiebridge. Navigation in the surrounding forests isn’t easy, with many more paths in reality than on the map, due to the new single tracks for mountain biking.
The participants all showed great enthusiasm for being outdoors and working together as a team. We look forward to seeing them all again on the qualifying expedition in June.
