Congratulations to all of the participants that completed their Bronze DofE Qualifying expedition with us this weekend. Each of the groups picked varied and interesting routes around Rothiemurchus Forest. It never ceases to me amaze me how many different outdoor users get enjoyment from this fantastic place. There were plenty of people out enjoying the sunshine; mountain bikers, road bikers, swimmers, sailors, canoeists, walkers, fisherman, climbers, photographers.
Once again Loch Morlich and the Chalamain Gaps proved to be highlights. The participants weren’t taking the scenery for granted and questioned how it had become the way it is.“How did these boulders get here” was a frequently asked question!
The midges are just beginning to appear so that must mean that it is time to head back to the Alps for our forth coming expeditions in Chamonix.
